My name is Angelina Lee. I was born in Santa Clara, and I have lived in San Jose, California my whole life. My mom is from Vietnam, and my dad is Chinese-Japanese. Some of my family from my mom's side lives in Vietnam, but most live here in California.
One thing I have grown is an avocado tree. I remember growing the seed in water, letting it grow, and planting it in dirt. The tree grew to about four feet and then died one winter. Someone in my life who knows a lot about gardening is my grandpa. He grows fruits, vegetables, and many other plants in his backyard. One time he grew a pear tree which yielded fruits as big as melons. It was so cool. My mom knows a lot about cooking. Sometimes I help her cook in the kitchen. When I help her, she tells me what ingredients to use and how I should cook it. My neighbor is also good at gardening. She has a garden at her backyard, where she grows many different types of flowers and plants, such as tomatoes, zucchinis, arugula, basil, and avocados.
