About
The Story of the Seed is a year-long project. In this specific Story of the Seed experiment, students form their own groups and are each given different types of seeds. They then chose a variable to experiment on by observing the germination of the seeds. In our experiment, we are testing to see if a cabbage plant will grow faster depending on the price of soil we use to grow the plant. To conduct the experiment we have purchased three different types of soil; an expensive soil that costs $11, a regular priced soil that costs $8, and a cheap soil that costs $6. We are going to plant cabbage seeds in each of these soils and give each plant the exact same conditions. Each plant shall be kept at the same exact temperature. The only difference between these three plants would be the soil they are planted in. In the end, we are going to determine which plant grew the most and establish a reasonable conclusion based on these results.
